Compact camera lenses—such as those used in smartphone cameras—are required not only to deliver excellent optical performance but also to maintain stable mass production and consistent quality. In recent years, reducing CO₂ emissions across the entire product life cycle and addressing resource circularity have also become important themes. The optical resin “Iupizeta EP” is an optical resin that meets these requirements while contributing significantly to CO₂ reduction as a sustainable material.

In the injection molding of lens parts, sprues and runners (scrap material generated during molding) are produced in addition to the actual products. For Iupizeta EP, we have launched an initiative to recover these materials—which could conventionally have been treated as waste—from our customers and recycle them.
