Moisture re-absorption Behavior During Molding and its Countermeasures
Compared with ordinary pellets, dried plastics absorb moisture in a short time and exceed the recommended level of <0.01% in about 20 minutes. In particular, a long residence time in the hopper lowers the temperature and promotes reabsorption. Using a hopper dryer is effective in suppressing reabsorption after drying, but care is required because the connection parts can absorb moisture.
